Sword Art Online was my fourth Anime and the first VR MMO RPG based show I have watched. Sword Art Online starts out a little slow but quickly gets into the action! The characters are really fun and relatable which is what makes the show so great! The way they do character building and world building in Sword Art Online is truly amazing! This show is mostly focused on the games that the characters play and things involving the games, so it is not a high school life type of show. Even though it is not a high school life type of show that doesn’t mean it is bad in fact it is one of the best shows I have ever watched. Season 1 and Season 2 are split in half in the sense that two different things happen in each season. For example the first half of Season 1 is about one topic and the second half of Seasons 1 is about another. Seasons 3 and 3.5 are a continuing story so they are not split like seasons 1 and 2. When I first started watching Sword Art Online I didn’t know that any of the movies were actually relevant to the storyline and I found out only one is as far as I have seen and that would be Ordinal Scale the Movie. I really hope they continue Sword Art Online for as long as they have to in order to give it a good ending. I really loved Sword Art Online and I definitely recommend watching it if you haven’t already!
The ORDER to watch everything in: Season 1 -> Season 2 -> Ordinal Scale the Movie -> Season 3 and then Season 3.5 and that is everything out right now.
