A Certain Scientific Railgun was my 8th Anime and it was way better than I expected it to be! This show is a side story and prequel story of the main series A Certain Magical Index. When I realized it was a side/prequel story I was surprised that the show was done so well! The storyline, world building and character building are all AMAZING! A Certain Scientific Railgun is an amazing show that gives really good and important context to the main series. This show does start out a bit slow but after a few episodes it gets really good. This show is more serious than the main series but it does still have plenty of comedy. I’ve heard people say that this show is better than the main series but I don’t agree with that. A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Magical Index are both amazing shows but I like A Certain Magical Index more than A Certain Scientific Railgun. I think which show you like more than the other is really just personal preference but I do understand why people might like A Certain Scientific Railgun more than A Certain Magical Index. People liking A Certain Scientific Railgun more than A Certain Magical Index probably has something to do with the fact that more characters and powers are shown and used in A Certain Scientific Railgun than are used or shown in A Certain Magical Index. This is probably do to the fact that A Certain Scientific Railgun was done after A Certain Magical Index so the creator had time to think up more abilities and characters. There are currently 3 seasons of A Certain Scientific Railgun but at the time of this post there is no information on whether they plan to continue the series or not. I personally hope they continue both A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Magical Index until they can end both series well!
